Luzern, Switzerland 28 May 2021, SACA (Swiss Asia Crypto Alliance) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with GIST (Acting President In-Soo Kim) Blockchain Economy Center (Director Heung-No Lee) for mutual exchange of professionals in the areas of blockchain technology and especially in terms of Swiss crypto and blockchain ecosystem.
Through this collaboration, SACA will benefit the GIST Blockchain Economy Center by providing access to collaboration opportunities with the Swiss blockchain ecosystem which includes Swiss academia, fintech, the crypto-related banking industry in Switzerland.
GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology), located in Gwangju, South Korea, is a research-oriented university and one of the prestigious schools in science and technology. According to the 2020 QS World University Assessment, GIST ranked #4 in the world in the “Citations per Faculty” category. GIST was ranked #2 in the world for 2015 and 2016, No. 3 in the world for 2017 and 2018, and No. 5 in the world for 2019 and has been recognized for its global research competency by maintaining South Korea’s No. 1 position for 13 years.
Switzerland is the forerunner of the regulatory environment in terms of crypto assets. SACA will mutually benefit both Switzerland and Asian countries (South Korea, China, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, etc), by creating a positive impact and stimulus for the regulators in the blockchain and crypto area, and by promoting and building a healthy and sustainable ecosystem for investors by forging cross-border alliances.
